Although great, the power they have acquired thus far might not be enough to survive. Will Delvers LLC be able to complete their next mission? More importantly, even if they do, is the fight for the planet one they can even win?

The next installment in the series continues the adventures of the Delvers LLC group, expanding into an invasion of the continent and unfolding the reasons why Dolols has been conducting his experiments with the orbs in the first place. There’s still the same fun banter and slice of life interludes between the good action sections. While there is certainly some good action, the big fight occurs at about the 50-60% mark and the story after that point felt more like follow up for side characters or less impactful action or setup for stuff in the next book. The story is still entertaining but I think it peaked a little early. Still, good stuff all around.

My Opinion: 412 pages, $4.99, Available On Kindle Unlimited

An overpowered main character (MC) with a fighter/mage class becomes a farmer when he retires. The story is a slice of life account of him getting to his farm, dealing with some local thugs who try to rip him off, and a more interesting plot that does some good world building relating to forbidden magic. But it's mostly the MC getting his equipment, starting to farm, figuring out how to make his farm profitable.

There is an RPG system that works in this fantasy world and certain people have classes that make them much more powerful than the average person. But there’s not a lot of progression for the MC. At the start of the story the MC is already high leveled with his very limited class skills already maxed out and a load of free points that he just can’t use. He’s also already built up all his none-class related skills as far as they’ll go. The MC ends up being a badass fighter, though he’s supposed to have a mage class.

Overall, it’s a pretty good story. The conflicts with the gang and the Wolf King came to a satisfying end, the gradual revelation about the history of magic in the world and how it relates to the MCs farm was nicely strung out so it never felt like an info dump and the action in the story was well written. Additionally the farming, while the least interesting to me, was magic’d enough to show growth in a short amount of time. The only thing that brought it down a little for me was that the MC is so overpowered there was never really any tension since it never seemed like he’d lose.

Invictus has grown, millions of new citizens now look to him for support and protection. While he tries to gather together the human survivors across Earth, new enemies arise to threaten his empire. His worst fears confront him, and Allistor is not prepared.

My Opinion: 547 pages, $4.99, Available On Kindle Unlimited

The stage of the series is expanding but it keeps the action and tension. As the main character (MC) expands his empire the scale of the fights also increases. There are more space battles than land ones, but they are just as exciting and characters still die. Kingdom building elements are still there as new colonies and planets come under the MCs control.

The individual RPG progression for the MC slows a little as getting levels past 100 takes so much more XP, but it's still there. There’s just other types of progression: kingdom and crafting.

Overall, it's still a really good end of the adventure that fans of the series will enjoy.
