The VIs' revolt succeeded.
The digital beings took over the game world and ejected millions of players while keeping a few thousand trapped inside as their prisoners.
In the real world, Oren Berman is recovering from the mental trauma of being trapped, tortured, and abruptly ejected. But the company has come to him, hat in hand, asking him to reenter the game world. With the entire NPC population arrayed against the trapped players, Oren and his clan of monsters might be their only hope.
My Opinion: 547 pages, $5.99, Available On Kindle Unlimited
It takes a little bit to get back into the story but it's quite a good story. It almost feels like an expansion pack to a game you've already beaten. Maybe some of the rules have changed, but it's a fun story with familiar characters you already like. It also returns to the town building, minion summoning, and resource management that readers enjoyed.
Overall, quite a good read.

Jack is a regular guy, he has a crappy job and a good thing with a girl. The problem is, he also has bit of a messy past, so when he's offered the chance to do a 'little job' instead of jail time, he jumps at it.
Jail would have been the better choice...

Please be aware this is a dark LitRPG Fantasy and contains sexual references, violence and swearing. Ever wondered what would happen when a regular guy ends up in another world getting hunted and having his body torn apart? Yeah...that's why there's a lot of swearing...
My Opinion: 465 pages, $4.99, Available On Kindle Unlimited
This is an action filled fantasy LitRPG story that feels a bit like an online serial that puts in all the major hits of the genre. It has a fight tournament, base building, transported to a RPG game world, crafting, and a thirsty fairy companion.
The big draw is going to be all the action. There's hardly a chapter that doesn't have of fighting. Whether its training or survival or the tournament or monster fighting while clearing his base.
The RPG stuff is good. The MC has a spellsword class and uses weapons and magic. There are character sheets, skills, magic, and stats. Though a good portion of the beginning feels like the game mechanics are pushed into the background but after the 30% mark notifications show up a lot more, there's crafting, quests, base building, and build theory.
Overall, it's a fun action story. Lots of fights and RPG progression that is done well.
