LitRPG News
Magic Dome Books is relaunching this LitRPG series by Roman Prokofiev.
“Some of you might have already read its previous version released a while ago by another publisher under the title Cat’s Game (also known as Cat's Quest). The author has completely reworked the book’s first chapters; he’s also already completed Book Two of the series, fully intending to keep the story going. And we fully intend to release the whole series in English.”

The Starlight Sword (Rogue Merchant Book #1): LitRPG Series
The Fantasy Book Fest, originally scheduled for April 17-19th in Anaheim CA, has been canceled. Lots of conventions that were upcoming have been canceled, heck even Disneyland has closed down. So, it’s not too big of a surprise. It was originally thought that the event could be rescheduled for October, but the organizers decided to cancel it entirely and refund everyone’s tickets. Sorry. I was looking forward to being able to see some of you local Californians. I’d even gotten a booth at the event to give out print copies of the R.A. Mejia books.

Sentenced to Troll 3
The ancient portals have been unlocked, restoring fast travel to Isle of Mythos.
No longer the outsider, Chod enjoys his newfound acceptance as a hero and troll. New lands and adventures await with the promise of gold and glory. But every opportunity offers the chance of misfortune.
Several portals still remain closed, hiding dire threats behind their veils of dark energy. Enemies have disappeared into parts unknown, and rumors of the return of the greatest villain Mythos has ever known grow louder by the day.
Chod has one goal- unite the heroes of Mythos. Fail, and he loses everything.
My Opinion: 293 pages, $4.99, Available On Kindle Unlimited
Returning to the series was like hanging out with a friend you hadn’t seen in a while. Unlike some other novels where I forget the complex premise, or the myriad secondary characters, this story has always been easy to follow and enjoy. The RPG stuff has always been fun to read and is used in the story. It has a good sense of humor, good action adventure, and fun characters.
Story - Slice of life with a bit of humor and emotion. But mainly adventure stuff. Fighting in dungeons, adding a new group member, leveling up to advance the series plot in future books. This ends up being more of a transition novel in the series but it still fun.
Score: 7.6 out of 10
Darkworlds Paris: A Cthulhu LitRPG
The Great Old Ones are stirring. In the Virtual Reality Game Darkworlds, it's 1927 in Paris and something weird is happening in the Bois de Boulogne. Fresh from the terrors of London, Adam Harker is sent to play again and fathom the secrets of gameworld Paris. But this time, he's got something growing in his head.
My Opinion: 275 pages, $3.99, Available On Kindle Unlimited
Creepy sometimes
A sequel to the very creepy short story Darkworlds London, the main character there is now working for a secret group that is trying to save humanity from the Old Ones/AI who have taken up their appearance in the game of Darkworlds set in 1927 Paris. While there is still the similar Cthulhu charm to the longer story it loses a little bit of its creepy atmosphere because it has to fill up a much longer story. As a trade off you get more quests, more powers, more RPG progression, and a touch more weirdness as the game world is developed. Some of the weirdness is a little unexplainable and leads to some wand wavy moments in the end plot that annoyed me a bit. But overall it's a good attempt at writing a LitRPG story that wasn’t straight fantasy or sci-fi.
Score: 7.2 out of 10
Darkworlds Paris: A Cthulhu LitRPG
The Last Time Loop: Max of the Rebellion (Volume 2)
Not currently showing on Amazon
An entertaining sequel to the first book. It continues the Groundhog day like time travel with the main character (MC) growing every more powerful with each death and time reset as he increases his battery level and learns more special psychic techniques. He’s still trying to find someway to undo earth’s ultimate demise. Only this time he’s working the rebellion and loyalists factions alike to find the true source of the time loop. Good stuff if you enjoy this kind of sci-fi time travel with minor elements of RPG progression.
Score: 7.3 out of 10

Dragon Heart: Sea of Sorrow. LitRPG Wuxia Series: Book 5
More good reading
One thing I enjoy with this series is the cinematic fight scenes. Reincarnated from earth, he's a bit of a thoughtful Conan. Good cultivation and an adventure hunting for the lost city of the mages, it's an exciting tale. I did enjoy book 4 more, this one is a good read. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Score: 8.0 out of 10
