LitRPG News
First need to make a correction. Last week I said that Jayden Hunter, a admin for the LitRPG facebook group, has been communicating with Amazon in an effort to get the LitRPG listed as its own genre. It’s actually Jay Taylor who’s been making leading the extra effort to get us our own genre listing on Amazon. Sorry Jay.

New Releases and Reviews
Delvers LLC: Welcome to Ludus
Henry and Jason led normal lives in Seattle before they were abducted to another world. Their kidnapper, the vain, self-styled god Dolos refuses to send them back unless they can accomplish an impossible task. Oddly, Dolos doesn’t seem to care if they succeed or not.
Luckily, Henry and Jason studied Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) on Earth. Unfortunately, a Japanese American EMT and a geeky IT programmer don’t have many other useful skills on a sword and sorcery world like Ludus.
Stranded in the middle of nowhere on an alien world, the friends have no real direction and only a few possessions including magic-granting orbs from an apathetic god. Undaunted, the two begin their insane adventure to return home, but basic survival and eventually paying rent will have to take priority.
My Opinion: Originally an online only story, Delvers LLC., has blossomed into a full blown LitRPG novel. The difference between the original work in progress and this is noticeable. You can tell the author took the extra time and expense to polish his work.
Delvers LLC. is a wonderful adventure of two friends who are thrown into a game world and not only survive but thrive to some degree. There is humor, action, and even some interesting depth. I especially enjoy the realistic relationship between the two main characters and the lengths they’ll go to protect each other as friends.
A Shield for Diana
Jack and Diana are an average couple. That all changes when they get invited to test a new Virtual Reality game. Two different playing style's. Follow along as there journey begins. Will they work together or tear each other apart. Welcome to United Online.
My Opinion: I want to love this work so much. There is so much story potential here. The author has the unique idea to tell the story of a married couple entering a full immersion game world together and experiencing the joys and sorrows of adventuring together there.
Unfortunately, despite the great potential, the bad spelling and grammar are huge detractors. On almost every page of the story there are missing punctuations, misspelled words, missing quotations, and paragraph structure issues. These issues are a huge distraction from what might otherwise be a good beginning story in a new LitRPG series. I would love to read a more polished version of this story and see what the author can do with it as an ongoing series.
The Way of the Clan 4 (World of Valdira)
The online game of Valdira. An enormous, mysterious world readily accepts anyone into its arms, with guaranteeing endless adventures, epic battles and fabulous treasures. Countless clans fiercely fight for land, participate in wars, spin intrigue and lead spy battles. And somewhere out there, in the endless expanses of Valdira, the adventures of Rosgard continue, thanks to fate and his own personal stubbornness. He has become the Great Navigator, destined to lead the naval armada and guide it directly to the ancient lost continent…
My Opinion: This is a Russian LitRPG novel translated into English. I loved the 1st book in the series and have been slightly more disappointed with each novel that has come after. The 4th book is by far the most poorly translated. If you can get past all the errors in writing you may find a story you can enjoy.
The Way of the Clan 4 (World of Valdira)
Steel Wolves of Craedia (Realm of Arkon Book 3)
The flames of war spread through the Cursed Princedom to devastating effect. Bound by powerful spells from centuries ago, the Great Essences are yearning to regain their freedom. In the face of an impossible mission, Krian has no choice but to keep going, while risking those who have trusted him with their lives. The only solution is to become stronger and forget the meaning of the word “impossible.” And so a plangent wolf’s howl soars over the battlefield as a plate-clad cavalry rushes the enemy ranks…
My Opinion: This is another Russian LitRPG novel translated into English. This one is translated well though. Only good reviews for the novel on Amazon with the majority of them being 4 or 5 star reviews.
Steel Wolves of Craedia (Realm of Arkon Book 3)
