Man Feels Robotic Sensations
(Play Video 1)
Geek.com reports that a group at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center have implanted quadraplegic Nathan Copeland with a series of chips that can let him "feel" with a robotic arm. Two arrays of electrodes were implanted and connected to a receiver attached to his skull. One set lets him send signals from his motor cortex to a computer which can then move a robotic hand. The other set sends signals from the robotic fingers into his sensory cortex.

Nintendo’s New Console
(Play Video 3)
Nintendo revealed its new game console, previously referred to as the NX will officially be called the Nintendo Switch and arrive in March 2017. The console consists of a tablet that sits in a dock that connects to a TV for home playing. The sides can slide off the controller, Nintendo calls these "joy-cons" and connect to the tablet which when removed from the dock can be taken away for mobile game play. The joy-cons can also be used with the tablet when unattached. A standalone controller will also be made available. Multiplayer is supported in all scenarios. Games will be distributed on small SD-card like cartridges called GameCards. A custom Nvidia Tegra processors powers the graphics. Nintendo also announced a list of 48 3rd-party game devs and publishers developing titles for the Switch.

Leonardo DiCaprio in talks to Direct Captain Planet Movie
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount and Appian Way, Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, are in talks to bring everyone’s favorite green-mulleted superhero to the big screen. The studio is currently angling for the rights to the classic 1990s animated series, and is eyeing the writing duo of Scream Queens and Everybody Wants Some!! star Glen Powell and Jono Matt to the script.
The most fascinating aspect about this news is what could be done with the story. As cited by The Hollywood Reporter article, “the story takes place years after the adventures of the show, with the Captain now a washed-up has-been who needs the kids more than they need him.”

Deadpool 2 Casting Domino
The sequel to this year’s unexpected mega-hit Deadpool is expected to start production fairly soon, and along with fan favorite character Cable already announced to make an appearance, it seems that so too will his deadly albino ally, the female mercenary named Domino.
According to a report over at Collider, director Tim Miller and the film’s producers are now looking toward casting a key female role. The actresses in consideration include Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane), Sienna Miller (American Sniper) Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire), Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black), Eve Hewson (The Knick), and Kelly Rohrbach (Baywatch).

Old Man Logan revealed
(Play Video 5)
Quite a few new images have been released for the March 2017 film Logan. Villains (Pierce and Reavers), allies (Caliban and Old Professor Xavier) , and now Old Man Logan himself. Oh, and there’s an awesome new trailer for the movie. Did we forget to mention that?
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 teaser trailer
(Video 6)
The first teaser trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 was released this week, and it looks like the whole gang is back: Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), and even Tiny Groot (Vin Diesel).
Gamora is seen running and jumping through the air with one of her deadly blades, while her half-sister Nebula (Karen Gillan) is sporting some new headwear. Yondu (Michael Rooker) is finally sporting a badass red mohawk, much like his comic-book counterpart. And lots of blue-faced aliens are flying through the air, and looking none too pleased about it.
What is clear is that the first movie’s wry sense of humor is front and center. Drax advises Quill that he needs to find a woman "as pathetic" as he is, rather than pining after Gamora. And the Guardians have spacesuits stored away for both emergencies and "fun."
Also returning: the film’s distinctive soundtrack. The teaser is set to Blue Suede’s "Hooked on a Feeling," which was one of many 1970s hits on Peter Quill’s mix-tape, received from his dying mother before being kidnapped by that passing spaceship.
Awwww. Did you see little toddler Groot?
That’s it for the show
