Anonymous Versus Isis
The Verge reports that just days after the attacks in Paris, ISIS became the target of one of the world's biggest vigilante anti-terrorism campaigns. In a widely distributed video, a figure wearing a Guy Fawkes mask publicly declared war on ISIS, promising that "Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down."
So far, online campaigns have focused on reporting Twitter accounts, websites, and IP addresses run by the group. Typically, the end result is deletion, either by Twitter, Telegram, or an angry webmaster. By that measure, the campaigns have been successful: the secure-messaging app Telegram reported blocking 78 ISIS-related channels this week, and a group called CntrlSec says it's contributing to the suspension of more than 72,000 Twitter accounts since they began their campaign in January.

Rdio Is Being Acquired By Pandora
The music streaming site Rdio is filing for bankruptcy protection and handing over key assets to competitor Pandora.
Pandora is paying $75 million in a deal that include Rdio’s tech and intellectual property.
Streaming music services have felt the financial pressure ever since Apple Music started streaming. Unfortunately, you can count Rdio as the first casualty in the music streaming wars.

New York taxi owners are suing the city for letting Uber destroy their business
New York City taxi owners and credit unions are suing the city and its Taxi and Limousine Commission for letting Uber expand despite the harm it has caused their business. The lawsuit, filed today in Manhattan federal court, accuses city regulators of easing the pathway for ride-hailing services to operate with fewer burdens, according to a report today from Reuters.
The complaint states that medallion prices, which help artificially restrict the supply of city cabs, have fallen 40 percent from an all-time high of more than $1 million between April and June of this year. Meanwhile, the number of cab pickups fell by 3.83 million. Uber rides in Manhattan increased by 3.82 million in the same time period, the complaint says. The complaint also cites Uber as a primary contributor to the July bankruptcy filing of 22 taxi cab companies run by mogul Evgeny Freidman and the state's seizing of a credit union that specializes in medallion loans back in September.

YouTube's Finally Starting To Change Their Disastrous Copyright System
If you publish videos on YouTube, it’s a chance to share creations with an enormous audience. But thanks to a legal system stacked in favor of corporations, it’s also a treacherous landscape where a copyright takedown notice can result in your channel getting deleted. Now, YouTube is fighting back.
YouTube wants to defend fair use. For a handful of videos, YouTube will refuse to comply with takedown notices and leave the videos on the site. It’ll even cover legal costs—up to $1 million—to defend the video in court.

PS2 Emulation Coming To The PS4
SONY Is Working on bringing PlayStation 2 titles to the PlayStation 4, the company confirmed to WIRED Thursday evening.
“We are working on utilizing PS2 emulation technology to bring PS2 games forward to the current generation,” a Sony representative told WIRED via email. “We have nothing further to comment at this point in time.”
It seems as if the first PS2 games using this emulation software to run on PS4 are already out: a bundle available now at retail that includes a PS4 console and the Star Wars: Battlefront game also includes a selection of bonus classic games: Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.

Prometheus synopsis released
This week Fox Studios released a bit of news about Ridley Scotts latest work on the Alien/Prometheus franchise.
First, the Prometheus sequel or the Alien prequel as you might see it got a official title: Alien: Covenant. In addition, they released the first official synopsis for the upcoming sequel.
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
It looks as if Noomi Rapace's character, Elizabeth Shaw, has been written out of the sequel. At the end of Prometheus we saw her and Michael Fassbender's dismembered robotic head blasting off into space looking for further adventures.

‘The Bastard Executioner’ Axed After One Season On FX
Kurt Sutter’s 14th century Sons Of Anarchy follow-up The Bastard Executioner has been canceled after its first season. Rather than allow the FX and Fox 21 TV Studios drama to simply fade away after 10 episodes, Sutter has taken the unusual step of helping the network make the decision and buying farewell ads on Deadline and the Hollywood trades to thank his cast and crew — and the network that ultimately had to swing the ax because the show wasn’t generating enough ratings growth quickly enough to justify the cost of a Wales-set period drama.
Warner Bros. Still Planning On Moving Forward With Guillermo Del Toro's Dark Universe
Even though Guillermo del Torro is no longer attached to the Justice League Dark movie it seems the movie is still moving forward.
While the movie still doesn’t have a new director, the studio has reportedly started to look at a team of actors to bring the mystical team to life.
Warner Brothers is considering Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell for the role of John Constantine and Jason Blood the human host for Etrigan the Demon. Ron Pearlman is still set to play Swamp Thing. Deadman, Madame Xanadu and Zatanna have yet to be cast though.

FRANK MILLER SAYS HE’S WRITING THE DARK KNIGHT IV
Next week, DC Comics is set to release Dark Knight III: The Master Race, which was reportedly the last chapter in Frank Miller’s Dark Knight saga. But apparently, the end of Dark Knight III is just the beginning for Miller.
“I thoroughly applaud what [Brian’s] doing. But now that he’s doing his, it’s now a four-part series,” said Miller during an interview with Newsarama. “I’m doing the fourth.”

NOW NAMOR IS GETTING KILLED OFF IN THE COMICS
Say good-bye to "Marvel's First Mutant" as Namor is biting the big one in the pages ofSquadron Supreme.
This shouldn't come as that much of a surprise seeing how Namor is reportedly licensed out to Universal Studios, meaning Marvel can't use the character in their movies or TV (Marvel also cancelled Fantastic Four, disbanded the team and killed off Wolverine).
While Squadron Supreme #1 isn't due out until December 16th, series writer James Robinson let the news be known in an interview with ComicBook.com.
