We begin with…
WWDC
Apple had their developer conference this week and announced great new features and products including:
Apple is upgrading the operating system for the Apple watch to WatchOS 3-Can now keep apps in memory for instant launch.
OS X is now macOS and the news version will be called Sierra.
iCloud will have the ability to manage files for you to keep the desktop universal across devices and make sure you don’t run out of room.
Emojis are 3X bigger and you can auto-highlight words to replace with emojis with one tap.
Facebook is stalking you
Facebook has reached partnerships with point-of-sale systems like Square and Marketo to link purchases to viewers of Facebook ads. Facebook also can now match GPS, beacons, WiFi, radio signals, and cell towers with real-world locations to show when you visit a store. Facebook aggregates and anonymizes the data, but there is no way to opt out of it, without turning off location services entirely for the Facebook app. Data from the new system will show up in the Store Visits metric in Facebook’s ad performance dashboard. http://techcrunch.com/2016/06/14/facebook-knows/
