Samsung Bendable Screens

Bloomberg reports it sources say Samsung is considering introducing two new smartphone models with bendable OLED screens.

One model would fold in half like a cosmetic compact. The other would have a five inch screen that could unfurl into a display as large as 8 inches.

Facebook to challenge Twitch

Blizzard and Facebook announced a partnership to integrate Facebook Live into all Blizzard games. A Facebook login option is also being added for all Blizzard’s PC titles.The Facebook integration should be in place later this month.

Final Fantasy XII re-release

FFXII was originally released for the PS2 in 2006. Square Enix has confirmed this week that they are releasing Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, the HD version of the game. Besides revamped character models and cutscenes, the game will feature auto-save, shorter load times, and an improved turbo mode. The score has been re-recorded, but The Zodiac Age will also feature the original soundtrack.

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is slated for a 2017 release in Japan and the US for the PS4.

Sega's Warehouse-Sized VR Shooter

Sega has partnered with with Australian company Zero Latency to create a warehouse sized VR shooter the people can run around in. The virtual reality centre will be created in the middle of Tokyo and will use Zero Latency’s top of the line technology.

Batman: The Killing Joke to play in theaters for one night only

Fathom Events is teaming up with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment to bring the acclaimed graphic novel-turned-film, Batman: The Killing Joke, to select cinemas nationwide for one night only on Monday, July 25, 2016.

The film will make it’s debut at San Diego ComicCon on July 21st and be available for digital download July 26th.

Pacific Rim 2 gets new star

The Force Awakens and Attack the Block star John Boyega will lead the cast of Pacific Rim 2. While we don’t know much else about the film we do know that Boyega will be playing the lead role, currently unnamed but definitely the son of Stacker Pentecost, Idris Elba’s character from the first film.

Superman to guest star on CW Supergirl

Executive producer Andrew Kriesberg announced this week that Superman himself will be introduced in Season 2 of the Supergirl. Clark Kent/Superman will appear in the first two episodes of Supergirl: Season 2, as the show moves to the CW in the fall.

‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’ Wows

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, began two months of sold-out previews Tuesday night at London’s Palace Theatre and the reviews are great. No details about the storyline from the play have leaked yet. This may be due to Rowling implored theatergoers to keep the play’s secrets: “Let audiences enjoy Cursed Child with all the surprises that we’ve built into the story.”

Suicide Squad Screening A Hit

The Suicide Squad is slated for a official release date of August 5th. However some fans have gotten a chance to see early screenings of the movie and they were impressed.

After the disappointing reviews of Batman V Superman the producers of Suicide Squad have gone as far as reshooting some  scenes to make sure they’re as fun and entertaining as the trailers have promised.
