World Seed: Endgame

The fourth and final installment of the World Seed series. Join John Hulett as he faces new enemies, the likes of which he couldn't imagine. Fighting against a hidden trauma and a conspiracy that goes beyond anything he can believe, discovering the ultimate truths behind the events of the universe, what will be the final outcome for him and his family?

My Opinion: 652 pages, $3.99, Not Available on Kindle Unlimited

The story begins with a 5 year leap into the future and catches up on what happened during those years. Once done with the catch-up, John and his group are almost assassinated as they try to celebrate one of the kid’s birthday. It turns out there’s a new threat to the universe, The New Human Empire, and they’re not above blowing up a planet or two to achieve their goals. Now, John, his crew, and an alliance of fantasy aliens have to stop the threat. Except things are a heck of a lot more complicated than anyone realizes.

My favorite space druid and his friends finally end their story. You know how Firefly ended after one season but they made the movie Serenity to give the crew once last adventure to go on? That’s what this feels like. It’s one last adventure for John and all the people you care about. There’s plenty of new skills and powers that everyone develops. There’s some crafting and magical spell development too. But it’s mostly just one last adventure. It has a good ending that I can honestly say I didn’t see coming and for the most part wraps everything up nicely.

If you’re a fan of the series, you don’t want to miss the end.

Score: 7 out of 10
