Looks like everyone from the movie is back for this prequel Netflix series to Wet Hot American Summer including some surprisingly big names. The full cast list is below the video.
The show airs on Netflix July 31st.
Cast includes: Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter join together with new characters played by Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, John Slattery, and more.
Steven Moffat will be stepping down as showrunner of the Doctor Who series. His last season will be the yet-to-air season 10, which BBC has also decided to hold back until Spring 2017.
After a massive social media campaign led by the good folks at Nerdist, Mulder and Scully are back for a six episode run of the X-files series. The show returns January 2016.
Netflix recently announced that they are not renewing their licensing with EPIX. So they’re going to lose some big name titles. This Netflix miniseries is a prequel to the very funny movie Wet Hot American Summer. It begins July 31st.
Earlier this month, Variety ran a quote from executive producer Al Jean, which claimed that Homer and Marge Simpson would legally separate in the Season 27 premiere. The quote went viral. Media outlets reported one of the most interesting storylines the Simpsons have had in years. Which was probably the point of the “leak.”
In the clip below Marge and Homer address the rumors of their separation.
We get our first glimpse on the set of the new X-files. It’s only a couple pictures but it makes it feel real that X-Files is coming back. The picture above was tweeted by Gillian Anderson, the one below by the official X-Files. The six episode mini-series is set to premiere in January.
A new animated Mega Man series is coming to the US. The 26 episode series will be produced by Man of Action, best known for their Cartoon Network series Ben 10 and Generator Rex. The studio has also worked on the big budget film Big Hero 6. The new Mega Man is set to hit the air waves in 2017. We’re looking forward to it.
The tv network USA has released the full hour long pilot for their upcoming show Mr. Robot on YouTube. The cast includes: Christian Slater, so maybe we’ll get a good hacker tv show for once.
It was announced today that one of our favorite Netflix original shows, Grace and Frankie, has been renewed by Netflix for a second season. The show stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston.
Many fans compared the trailer to a mash up of Smallville and the Devil Wears Prada. Only a few days after the less than well received trailer was released the full pilot episode of Supergirl was “leaked”. While leaks in general are not good, they spoil storylines and reduce official sales, this one may pay off for the series.

Based on the novel of the same name. The series takes the magical school concept and introduces some very real, adult themes. The book series by Lev Grossman is very divisive. People either really loved it or really disliked it. We'll see how the TV adaptation goes when it premiers on SyFy.
CBS's released the trailer for their upcoming TV show Supergirl. The story summary "SUPERGIRL is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret."
Harry Shearer, voice of such notable Simpson’s characters as Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner, has left the show after reported failed contract negotiations. The Simpsons, already the longest running show on television, recently got a two year contract extension. CNNMoney reports that no characters will be killed off, but the Simpsons will recast the voice of those characters previously voiced by Shearer
