We begin with…

Amazon has opened a test location for a convenience store called Amazon Go using what it calls “Just Walk Out” technology to charge customers. Customers gain entrance by using the Go app and then a combination of sensors, computer vision and deep learning track you. When you walk out your Amazon account is charged for what you carry with you. Amazon Go is in an 1800 square foot location at 2131 7th Ave. Seattle with mostly meals and snacks. It is open to Amazon employees though non-employees will get to shop there early next year.

Samsung will push an update to remaining US Galaxy Note 7s on December 19th to prevent charging and eliminate the ability to work as mobile devices. Samsung estimates 133,000 Note 7s are unaccounted for in the US. Note 7 owners can still return their phones or exchange them for other Samsung devices. Verizon announced it will not push the update to its customers. IN Europe an update on December 15th will reduce Note 7’s charge ability to 30%. In Canada Note 7s will have all wireless network functions disabled.    http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2016/12/9/13897794/samsung-galaxy-note-7-update-shut-down-inoperable

Pokémon GO’s next big sponsor partner in the U.S. is Starbucks, which is going to host new gyms and PokéStops at 7,800 company-run Starbucks stores in the U.S. In addition to the new in-game locales, Starbucks is also making a Pokémon GO edition Frappuccino to celebrate the tie-up. What does Pokémon GO taste like in sugared coffee drink form? I have no idea, but I will definitely find out.
