Bloodstained early build in action

Game producer, Koji Igarashi, left with Konami when they decided to stop making Castlevania games. Igarashi started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the creation of Bloodstained, the spiritual successor to Castlevania. The Kickstarter hit its goal of $500,000 in one day. With the Kickstarter campaign ending on June 12th, they’ve raised just under $3.8 million.

Today’s video offers a very brief glimpse at the game. During the video, character designer and artist Yuji Natsume and Igarashi play through an early build and discuss speed, enemy movements and more.

Bloodstained follows a young woman named Miriam whose skin has been fused with crystals that give her special abilities.
