The animated film Warcraft, based on Blizzards World of Warcraft, received an official release date and press synopsis. Legendary Pictures has announced the movie will be in theaters June 10th, 2016.

Legendary’s WARCRAFT is a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment’s globally-renowned universe. Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and written by Charles Leavitt and Duncan Jones, the film is a Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment production. The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Alex Gartner and Stuart Fenegan. Jillian Share, Brent O’Connor, Michael Morhaime and Paul Sams serve as executive producers. Rob Pardo, Chris Metzen, Nick Carpenter and Rebecca Steel Roven co-produce. WARCRAFT will be released by Universal Pictures

This week, equity crowdfunding site Fig opened up its campaign for a Jay and Silent Bob-themed video to the masses.
Blizzard announced this week on their blog that their massively profitable mobile card game, Hearthstone, will be undergoing some changes soon. Hearthstone will increase custom deck slots form 9 to 18. Older single player adventures will leave but all the cards they unlocked will be available to craft. Additionally, two new game modes will be incorporated into the play options: Standard and Wild.
So far Microsoft has been sparse on the story details of Halo 5: Guardians. However, from the their recent E3 conference and subsequent trailers we know that Master Chief has been missing for a while and an elite group of Spartans has been sent in to locate him or figure out what happened.
The first half of the trailer is a collage of footage from the other games in the series. It seems like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is trying to tie up the loose story threads form the series. The game looks great and the story seems very interesting.
Cliff Bleszinski, one of the original creators of Gears of War, launched his own game studio a few years ago after a falling out with Epic Games named Boss Key Productions. He’s been very hush hush about what type of game his new studio was making until now. This week they announced details about their new game Law Breakers.
