Director Jones talked to Wired about the latest character, Orgrim, to be added to the Warcraft film. Orgrim will be voiced by actor Robert Kazinsky. “We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character,” says director Duncan Jones. Well they found all that in Kazinsky confirmed the director.
Industrial Light and Magic tool photos of Kazinsky and merged them with the character art provided by Blizzard Entertainment, makers of Warcraft and World of Warcraft. The result is the character pictured above. Ever since the Golem in the first Lord of the Rings movie animated characters have grown more and more believable as characters and not just funny looking monsters. “We’ve gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies,” Jones says. “We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely.”
