Watch the first English Sub’d trailer for the live action Attack on Titan

Funimation has released the first subtitled trailer for the Western release of Attack on Titan: Part I, the first of two live action films based on Hajime Isayama’s hit manga and anime series. The first movie arrives on U.S. shores on August 1st.

Attack of Titan tells the story of a world where most of humanity has been destroyed by giants and where the last of mankind fights to survive behind three concentric walls – walls that were once impenetrable to the giants. After his hometown is destroyed and his mother is killed, young Eren Jaegar vows to cleanse the earth of the giant humanoid Titans that have brought humanity to the brink of extinction.
