A tower, perched on the edge of infinity.
A man, doomed to wander its floors eternally.
A mission, where the balance of the universe is at stake.

But somewhere, on the precipice of an unseen abyss, in that eternal moment between death and dying, the Old Ones hold council to determine the fate of the tower, and those in it. to them, the trapped souls are insignificant, and that’s what Daniel is counting on.
Can Daniel climb the tower and take his rightful place atop?
Will the forces that stand in his way crush any hope of once again seeing the world from which he came?
Answers await, blanketed by the fog of corruption in the shadow world. A place called...
Pandemonium.
My Opinion: 129 pages, $3.99, Available On Kindle Unlimited
A repressor Tower Climber story. Takes a bit too long with a bit unneeded exposition to get to the Tower Climber portion, like 20% of an already shorter story. Once the MC wakes up from the far future back in his 15 year old former self in the past, the story finally gets interesting as the MC uses his foreknowledge of what this kidnapped group will face. This is also where you see the story's first stat increase and notification window as killing monsters or other people give orbs that increase stats, give abilities, or drop item tokens.
Most of the story is decent and while a little too wordy in places, still has decent action and tension and interesting use of the MCs knowledge of the tower while not being overpowered.
That is until the end that completely ignores the RPG mechanics established in favor of some truly wand wavy and rushed boss fights. The MC faces off against several much more powerful enemies who have at least 30 times his stats and full armor, yet he's able to essentially one shot them with starter weapons or an ability he's never used.
Overall, the decent story was ruined for me by the end that showed what RPG mechanics existed in the story didn't really matter.
Score: 6 out of 10
