You might recognize Natalie Dormer from her role on The Hunger Games, Game of Thrones, or Elementary. Now you can see her as the lead character in what can best be described as a psychological folktale horror film. The movie references the Aokigahara Forest, a real place in Japan associated with demons in Japanese folk lore. It’s also a place where about 100 people go to commit suicide every year. The trailer plays heavily on this history and creeps us the heck out.
The MTV trailer for The Shannara Chronicles is quiet impressive. The series has Jon Favreau as an executive producer, which might explain how well done this TV series may do. The sets look very Lord of the Rings, in a good way.
Get your first look at DCs Legends of Tomorrow, including footage of all the heroes on the team. I think Hawk Girl looks pretty neat.
Coming this Holloween, Ash Vs.The Evil Dead is the television sequel to the cult classic The Evil Dead, one of the best examples of horror comedy. The series picks up 30 years after the movie but doesn’t lose any of the funny the movies were known for.
From the creators of Frozen and Big Hero 6 the new film Zootopia. The trailer explains the concept of a world filled with walking, talking animals. It looks pretty interesting. Take a look.
The first official trailer for the movie The Martian, directed by Ridley Scott. When a monster storm forces the early evacuation of the first manned mission to Mars, Damon's Mark Watney is stranded on the red planet and assumed dead. He has to use all his wits to survive on Mars, alone. The movie is not out till November 2015 so we’ll have to wait to see how the story turns out.
The Martian is one of our favorite books and it looks like the movie version is coming along quite nicely. In the video Matt Damon, playing astronaut Mark Watney, introduces us to the Ares 3 crew before they leave earth and visit Mars for the first time. It’s great to see Mark Watney calm and collected before things go bad in the story.
A dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic events, DreamWorks Pictures/Fox 2000 Pictures’ “Bridge of Spies” tells the story of James Donovan, a Brooklyn lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.
This new take on the Justice League was made in cooperation with Machinima. It’s apparently going to be released online over the course of several days (June 8th –June 12th). Looks good to me.
Z for Zachariah stars Margot Robbie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Chris Pine. The trailer makes it out to be a love triangle story after the end of the world. The movie looks like what I expected Last Man on Earth to be like..only with a woman..and a plot.
The Bard’s Tale trilogy were some of my favorite games. I’m very excited to see the game live on, hopefully. Check out the Kickstarter and donate if you want to see this game made.
A new trailer and new details for the spiritual successor to Mega Man, Mighty No. 9, were announced today including great DLC, pre-order bonuses, and a new collectors edition.

Play as fan favorite Harley Quinn in a special story arc when you pre-order the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight. Watch the trailer for a taste of this crazy character’s combat capabilities.
One of the best things about playing with Legos as kid was the unending creativity possible. Digitally, the highly popular game Minecraft has dominated this space allowing it’s users to create the things they wanted one block at a time. The game was often described as Lego-like. Now Lego is developing a digital video game to compete. Lego Worlds is currently on steam early access, a way for developers to let players test the game before it’s finished.
This movie looks surprisingly good. Kristen Stewart is believable as a stoner. Also, it’s great to see Jessie Eisenberg get an action role. I'll be watching the movie when it comes out Aug. 21, 2015.
We get to see Batman kick some bad guy butt in the trademark Arkham style and the gun toting Batmobile driving around town. Oh, and a few fun cut scenes. Looks like we have another good Batman game.
PREDATOR: Dark Ages is a short fan film funded in part by Kickstarter backers. It is the best Predator fan film we’ve seen and in our opinion is better than those Alien Versus Predator movies. Great job folks!
From the clip it looks like they took the original Point Break added a dash of Robin Hood and made it more “Extreme.” We’ll see how it turns out when it hits theaters Dec. 25th, 2015.
Check out the trailer for Cooties, which gives the zombie movie a new spin. Staring a hilarious cast including: Alison Pill, Nasim Pedrad, Rainn Wilson, and Elijah Wood
Arizona Sunshine is one of the first games announced for the soon to be released VR system HTC Vive. The trailer shows one unlucky individual having to fend off a zombie. The game seems to take advantage of the excellent person and hand tracking capabilities of the system forcing the player to move away from the zombie and reload manually if they run out of ammo.
Check out these two Jurassic World TV spots: one that highlights a baby dinosaur with a very creepy stare, and the other has a great voiceover by John Hammond, who was played by Richard Attenborough.
Jurassic World will open in theaters on June 12.
There were a few people who didn’t like Mad Max: Road Fury. I think mashing it with Mario Kart would have won over even the podcasts co-host Edgar Acosta.
The folks at Rocksteady give details about the key characters in Batman: Arkham Knight. Including who the mysterious pointy eared techno figure is (not batman apparently), the main villain Scarecrow, the new Batman design, other characters in the game, and the underlying story.
In this latest trailer we see quite a bit about the new Terminator movie. Old Man Arnold and a glimpse at a liquid metal T-200 and at least one other type of terminator. It’s practically an all-star terminator film.

See more of the rebooted Fantastic Four powers in the new promo . In theaters August 7, 2015.
