Game producer, Koji Igarashi, left with Konami when they decided to stop making Castlevania games. Igarashi started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the creation of Bloodstained, the spiritual successor to Castlevania. The Kickstarter hit its goal of $500,000 in one day. With the Kickstarter campaign ending on June 12th, they’ve raised just under $3.8 million.
Spiritual Successor to Castlevania heads to Kickstarter
Koji Igarashi is best known for his work on the Castlevania games. He’s left Konami and is working on a new video game project funded in part on Kickstarter. The game is Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and is a 2.5D action game for consoles. Igarashi is going to enlist Inti Creates, the studio behind Mighty No. 9.
