A new trailer and new details for the spiritual successor to Mega Man, Mighty No. 9, were announced today. Mighty No. 9 will be released in September for all major platforms.
Sony also announced on their Playstation blog that the game will offer cross-buy support. The means with just one purchase you get three copies to play on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.
If you buy a physical copy of the game you get free access to the Ray DLC. The downloadable content includes the Abandoned Lab stage, Ray boss, and will grant you the ability to play the whole game as an alternate character, Ray. You will also get a double sided poster and an art book straight out of the box.
If you Pre-Order the game you also get the Beck Retro Hero DLC. This will give you access to an 8-bit retro style costume for the main character, Beck. The pack will also unlock the insta-death mode, where even being hit by just one attack will lead to the death screen.
Signature Edition- Finally, a new collector’s edition has been revealed that will include an individually numbered 6.5″ figurine with 14 points of articulation. Included with the figurine will be three changeable faceplates. The Mighty No. 9: Signature Edition will include all of the above, plus the figurine, for a measly $59.99.
The game will be released digitally on PC (Windows, Mac, Linux), PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS. The game will see a retail package release on PC (Windows, Mac, Linux), PS4, Xbox One and Wii U.
Digital versions of the game will retail at $19.99 USD, package versions (including the Ray DLC) will retail at $29.99 USD.
